All I ended up listening to was 99 Problems. I am thankful for Jay’s placement on the list, because a few months ago, while on a road trip, I had decided that I wanted to listen to more of Jay’s older music, but I did not know where to start in his extensive collection. I’m doing this as an effort to broaden my horizons as someone in entertainment media as well as someone who simply loves music. The first album on the list is The Blueprint by Jay Z. I am going to try my best to review each one each week, and I’m putting it in writing here so that I have to do it. This is a task he decided to take on with his father, but me, being the music fanatic I am, had to participate too. At the end of 2020, my boyfriend, Joshua, had the idea to listen to one of Rolling Stones’ top 50 albums of all time (of the top 500 list) each week throughout 2021.
